About
Here you can find more about me, Lisa, and Lunatic_pin.
Hi! I am Lisa
An Italian girl living in London and I’m the mind and the body behind Lunatic_pin.
Lunatic_pin was born from the passion of creating something special and unique, together with the desire to share those creations with like-minded people who can comprehend and appreciate the
everlasting beauty of handmade clothing.
My Passion
“When buying from Hand Maker, you are buying more than just an object. You are buying hundreds of hours of failures and experimentation. You are buying days, weeks and months of frustration and moment of pure joy. You aren’t buying a thing, you are buying a piece of heart, part of a soul, a moment of someones life.”
My Story
My passion for the sewing world has started with my Grandma, who showed
me how to use the sewing machine, how to thread a needle, how to sew a
button. Since I moved to London and I left my old sewing machine in Italy, I bought a brand-new Singer and I started to sew again. A little while ago, I decided to open my fist online shop, Lunatic_pin.
Back then, I was working full time as a Visual Merchandiser, then the pandemic happened and the first lock-down with it, so I though “why not, let’s give it a try” and piece by piece created my brand.
Let’s see, what else..? I love cats, roller skating, going to gigs and to dye my hair (I am pretty sure pink/violet/purple are my favourite colours).
Ethical Brand
When I started to making clothes, my goal was (and still is) to become more sustainable as a person and therefore to have an ethical brand. Lunatic_pin is a small business where every item is made to order by me, in my studio in Sheffield. My wish is to make people feel 100% good with their new clothes, I want them to buy something they will fall in love with and I want that love to last forever.
Fabrics are sourced from established UK suppliers I've worked with for years, chosen for quality, comfort, and that satisfying drape that makes every piece move well. And through the SaveTheWaste collection, I turn leftover off cuts into one-of-a-kind pieces rather than sending them to landfill, because getting as close to zero-waste as possible matters to me.
